Auditions for The Rocky Horror Show 2024 

Are you ready for more? (More! More! More!) It was so popular we're bringing it back for a second year!

Thursday, July 18 | 6:30 - 9:30 

Saturday, July 20 | 1:30 - 4:30 

Callbacks (if needed) Sunday, July 21 | 1:30 

SINGING: No more than 3 minutes of a song to perform at auditions. Bring your backing track on your phone/ speaker, or have a YouTube karaoke track ready to share. There will not be an accompanist provided.

 ACTING: Be prepared for short cold readings from the script which we will have available when you arrive if you'd like to look over the scenes. 

DANCING: We will teach you a small bit of choreography from the show and do a short dance audition. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. 

Rehearsals begin the week of 7/22 from 7:00p-9:00p, usually three days a week. Likely Mon/Wed/Thurs but TBD based on cast availability. 

Performances - October 4, 5, 11, 12, 17, 18, & 19 - Show at 7:30 pm (please note this includes a Thursday night show during the 3rd week!) October 6 & 13 - Show at 2:00 pm 

Some conflicts are fine, but you must be available for a majority of rehearsals, mandatory dress rehearsals, and all performances. Please notify the casting team of any known conflicts at your audition. 

FAQ: - Do I need to have theater experience? All are welcome, regardless if you're a theater veteran, karaoke star, or total newbie. 

What time should I arrive? Please plan to arrive at the time listed above. We’ll spend the first 30 minutes filling out paperwork and getting settled. 

Do I need to be at both days? You are NOT required to attend both days of auditions. If you would like to come to both to show off another side of yourself, you are welcome! 

How old do I need to be to audition? The Rocky Horror Show is not for the faint of heart or pre-teen children. Due to the sexual nature of this show, we recommend auditioners be 18 and up. 

What if I can’t make those days? If you are unable to attend either day, please e-mail a video of your audition song to info@bigbritches.org by Friday 7/19.
