About

Open 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum (CGICM) welcomes visitors of all ages to explore Skamania's incredible local history and the unique geology of The Gorge.  CGICM features exhibits such as:  First People-a look into our beautiful Indigenous History, Lewis and Clark and local Fort History, as well as a look into our Timber & Fishing Industry.  Stop in with the whole family to learn about our unique history with Bigfoot, our connection with Russia, why CGICM is in the Guinness Book of World Records, and learn why Stevenson was once the Gretna Green of the Northwest!  Don't forget to keep your eyes open for our beloved bigfoot mascot Gifford P. Twiggs who loves to roam around the museum and hide!  The Interpretive Center is also a great place to host business dinners, weddings, and movie parties...ask about our rental rates to bring a unique and classy look to your next event.
