Canva Basics for Business & Everyday Use 
A Professional Development Workshop Series with Aries Art NW

Designed for small business owners, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, content creators, or simply someone who wants to learn Canva for personal projects! In this hands-on session, we'll cover the basics for confidently creating professional-quality graphics while understanding the ethical and legal responsibilities of using time-saving digital design platforms like Canva. No design background required — just bring your laptop, your curiosity, and your creativity. Registration is $10 and is limited to 8 people! 

You’ll learn how to:

  • Use Canva’s most essential tools to design polished, custom graphics
  • Customize templates the right way to make them truly your own
  • Understand copyright, licensing, and ethical use of Canva graphics and designs
  • Avoid common legal and branding mistakes businesses make with digital content
  • Learn the differences between Canva free and Pro features so you can decide what works best for your needs
  • Explore workflow differences between Canva’s mobile and desktop platforms to maximize efficiency and ease of use

This workshop is part of a 3-part series taught by Mindie Gum-Grivell of Aries Art NW; participation in all sessions is not required but encouraged for getting the most from Canva!
